A guide will take you from your hotel in Luxor to start your Coptic tour to Assuit, you will start your tour by visiting the The Monastery of the Holy Virgin Mary (Al Muharraq)
It is located at the foot of a mountain known as the Qasqam Mountain named after the city of Qasfam.
The monastery of Muharraq is one of the most famous Coptic monasteries in Egypt and has a historical and international reputation, His monks were famous since ancient times for piety and science, where the impact of Karazi and scientific spread to southern Europe, central and northern Europe and reached Ireland.
It is the holy place where the Holy Family stayed for the longest stay in Egypt
Archaeological Church of Deir Al-Muharraq
It is the oldest monument in the Muharraq Monastery, its structure is the same as the cave where the Holy Family resided , Its altar is the same stone as the cave on which Jesus Christ sat, the nave was restored in the 19th century.
Our next stop will be the Holy Virgin Mary Monastery in Doronka mountain
Its historical significance dates back to the famous cave where the Holy Family came ,and this cave was a pharaonic quarry where the Holy Family had to wait for the boats to return.
The monastery is a group of churches, the oldest of which is the cave church. It is considered a church since the end of the first century. It is worth mentioning that this cave of the monastery dates back to about 2500 thousand five hundred years before the birth.

Then we will move to visit the Monastery of the Holy virgin Mary in Ganadla
Most of the monastery’s monuments are ancient buildings carved on the mountain (often pharaonic quarries) used by monks as dwellings.And the monastery is famous in the name of Deir al-Adra iron case
The monastery has two churches, the Church of Our Lady and the Church of the East of the First Church

Our final step will be in The monastery of St.Tadros Al Mishreky
This monastery has several churches and the old church of a character enriched by the smell and breath of saints.
The old church dates back to the 18th and 19th centuries, with 12 dome, three skeletons, and nine nave nodes carried by four pillars. The church has an old veil, a restaurant and a few icons and manuscripts.
Al-Maqrizi mentioned it in the 15th century. The monastery had a monastic life that spread about three centuries ago. The monastery has a farm surrounded by high roles.
